ACCRA Group
departmental group preparing for the establishment of the Australian Climate Change Regulatory Authority
Australian emissions unit
A unit corresponding to one metric tonne of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions and issued by the regulator of the emissions trading scheme. A liable entity will be required to surrender one pollution permit or eligible Kyoto unit for each tonne of covered emissions that the entity releases to the atmosphere.

carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2-e)
