The Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency leads the development and coordination of Australia's climate change and energy efficiency policy. It is responsible for policy advice, policy implementation and program delivery in four areas, as follows:
The Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency is responsible for the oversight of the Office of the Renewable Energy Regulator (ORER) and the Low Carbon Australia (formerly the Australian Carbon Trust Limited).
