Methodologies under consideration

The Domestic Offsets Integrity Committee is considering the following Carbon Farming Initiative methodology proposals. The committee will examine the proposals in accordance with its methodology assessment process.

Making submissions on methodologies open for public comment

Submissions on proposed methodologies with the status open for public comment are invited for a period of 40 days from publication.

Comments should be submitted using the submission template (DOC 164 kB) and sent to the Domestic Offsets Integrity Committee Secretariat at the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency at doic@climatechange.gov.au. Comments can include any concerns about the proposed activity and whether it should be included in the negative list. All comments will be provided to the methodology proponent and published on this website unless they have been provided in confidence.

The publication of a methodology proposal for public comment does not indicate that the proposal is compliant with the Carbon Credits (Carbon Farming Initiative) Act 2011, that it will be endorsed by Domestic Offsets Integrity Committee or made into a methodology determination by the Minister. Proposals may need substantial revision before being endorsed by the committee.

A methodology proposal that is open for public comment must not be relied upon for planning an offsets project as there is no guarantee that it will be made into a methodology determination by the Minister.
