Treatment of renewable energy in the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting System.
On 7 July 2010, the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency released the Discussion Paper: Treatment of renewable energy in the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting System (129 KB) (RTF 1.7MB)
The aim of this paper is to seek feedback on the treatment of voluntary renewable energy purchases – notably GreenPower™ and voluntarily surrendered Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) – for the calculation of scope 2 emissions under the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting System (NGERS).
Feedback should be provided using the attached submission template (RTF 83 KB)
