 Legislation framework 

The National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act 2007 (the NGER Act) establishes the legislative framework for the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting System. A number of legislative instruments sit under the NGER Act, providing greater detail about corporations' obligations. The figure below illustrates how the various elements of the NGER legislative framework fit together.
