Community Energy Efficiency Program

Consultation on the proposed program design

The Community Energy Efficiency Program will support local councils and community organisations to undertake energy efficiency upgrades to council and community-use buildings, facilities and lighting.

On 27 September 2011, the Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency released a consultation paper on the Community Energy Efficiency Program to inform stakeholders and to seek their feedback on the design of the program.

The consultation paper was intended to draw comments from stakeholders and does not represent Australian Government policy. Program design features included in the consultation paper were proposals for discussion and comment only.

The consultation period for the Community Energy Efficiency Program closed on 21 October 2011.

A range of stakeholders submitted comments in response to the consultation paper and the department would like to thank all those who made submissions. The submitted feedback has been very valuable in informing the final design of the program.

Of the 77 submissions received, the following 44 submissions are those that were not marked confidential.
