Annual reporting
Certified products & services
Companies with products or services certified Greenhouse Friendly™ are required to submit an annual report to the Australian Greenhouse Office within three months of the conclusion of their reporting period.
Your annual report demonstrates whether you have met your ongoing Greenhouse Friendly™ certification obligations, and includes the following details (among other things):
- the total amount of the certified product sold or service provided in the year
- the emissions per product sold or service provided in the year
- records to prove that you have acquired sufficient Greenhouse Friendly™ approved abatement to offset 100% of the emissions associated with your product sold or service provided in that year
- other information relating to how your product or service has met and continues to meet the Greenhouse Friendly™ certification requirements.

Approved abatement projects
Abatement providers who have had any quantity of abatement verified and approved under Greenhouse Friendly™ during the year are also required to submit an annual report to the Australian Greenhouse Office within three months of the conclusion of their reporting period. As an approved Abatement Provider under Greenhouse Friendly™, you will need to include the following information in your annual report:
- the date and quantity of abatement verified
- the quantities of abatement sold, the name of the purchaser(s), the date of sale and the year in which the sold abatement was generated.
You will need to include a copy of any verification reports completed during that year, and if you have sold forest sink abatement at any stage during your project's five year approval under Greenhouse Friendly™, you will also have to provide details on the current status of that abatement (i.e. whether any losses and restoration have occurred).
