State & Territory Greenhouse Gas Inventories 2006

Department of Climate Change, June 2008

The State and Territory Greenhouse Gas Inventories are produced as part of Australia's National Greenhouse Accounts.

The emissions estimates in the State and Territory inventories are consistent with those in the 2006 national inventory and, like the national inventory, have been prepared in accordance with the Revised 1996 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Guidelines for National Greenhouse Gas Inventories and the principles of the IPCC 2000 Good Practice Guidance and Uncertainty Management in National Greenhouse Gas Inventories.

The State and Territory inventories have been prepared in consultation with the States and Territories, under the guidance of the National Greenhouse Gas Inventory Committee of representatives of the Australian, State and Territory Governments.

State and Territory emissions data are available from AGEIS - Australian Greenhouse Emissions Information System
