Fairfield City Council
Sustainability is a social, political, economical and ethical imperative, both locally and internationally. Recent media coverage regarding climate change has increased the awareness of the community to the impacts of global warming and the need to move toward a more sustainable way of living. This, in turn has directed attention to local government authorities who are proactively creating and maintaining emission abatement solutions for local businesses and the community. Council's continued participation with the Cities for Climate Protection (CCP) Australia program reflects its ongoing commitment to greenhouse gas abatement.
