Hurstville City Council
Local Councils have a great capacity to act as a model for efficient energy use, greenhouse gas abatement and the utilisation of renewable energy. Many councils in Australia, including Hurstville, have joined the Cities for Climate Protection (CCP) Australia program to respond to the greenhouse effect and climate change.
By acting locally, Council is demonstrating its commitment to stabilising greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere. Council will continue to work towards greenhouse reduction for a sustainable future.
