City of Sydney
Global warming is increasingly viewed as one of the defining environmental issues of our time, affecting the location, frequency and intensity of rainfall and temperature extremes. On a per head basis, Australians are among the world's worst contributors to global warming. The City of Sydney acknowledges the need for action by all levels of Government, community and the private sector. The Cities for Climate Protection (CCP) Australia program is an excellent platform to improve global awareness of climate change through local actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
